Access to the Market Management System
In order to obtain access to secure areas of the New Brunswick System Operator (NBSO) Market Management System (MMS), both the Market Participant company and its users must make an application for access. This process will provide the system with necessary contact information and parameters used to identify users, determine access rights, and audit transactions.
The application for access by a company is done once. One employee of the company, designated as the Security Officer, will have the ability to modify some of the company's information on an ongoing basis (e.g. contact phone numbers).
Application for access by a user (each digital certificate) is done for all employees, or designated agents, who wish to access the NBSO MMS as a member of a particular Market Participant company. A company application for access must be successfully completed first.
In addition to the above process, Market Participants must identify their role in the market by way of various agreements and information provided to the NBSO before certain portions of the MMS can be accessed.
About accessing the Nova Scotia Power OASIS
Nova Scotia Power (NSPI) has contracted the New Brunswick System Operator (NBSO) to manage its OASIS.
To become a user of the NSPI OASIS you must apply for access using the forms below in the same manner as applying for access to the NBSO site. Users must identify the level of access they require for OASIS and if full-access is required, all agreements as required under the Nova Scotia Power Open Access Transmission Tariff must be completed.
If a company already has access to the NBSO's Market Management System there is no need for the company to re-apply for access to the NSPI OASIS. Likewise, if a user has access to the NBSO OASIS, there is no need to re-apply for access to the NSPI OASIS.
Other various agreements as required under the NBSO Market Rules and NB OATT are not required if access is only requested for the Nova Scotia Power OASIS.
