Notice of Amendment to the Market Rules

In accordance with Section 60 of the Electricity Act (NB) and Market Rule 3B.3.2, the New Brunswick System Operator (NBSO) publishes the attached amendment to the Market Rules.

The Market Advisory Committee (MAC), at a meeting held November 27, 2006, reviewed the proposed amendment and recommended its adoption in its Report (posted on this website December 18, 2006) to the Board of Directors of the NBSO. The Board reviewed the Report and recommendation of the MAC and approved the adoption and implementation of the amendment at a meeting held December 20, 2006.

Section 60 of the Electricity Act provides that any person may apply to the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board for a review of any amendment in question within 30 days of the publication of this notice.

This amendment takes effect January 19, 2007.
