Notice of Amendment to Market Rules

In accordance with section 60 of the Electricity Act (NB) and Market Rule 3B.4.3, the New Brunswick System Operator (NBSO) publishes this Notice of the following amendments to the Market Rules:

Market Rule 3A.1, Composition of the Market Advisory Committee (MAC), is amended by the expansion of the membership of the MAC to include representation from two additional sectors:

1. one representative of the alternate source Generation class, nominated by or on behalf of members of that class; and
2. one representative of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency, nominated by that Agency.

Expansion of MAC membership in accordance with this amendment was approved by both the MAC and the NBSO Board of Directors in order to ensure that the MAC fully represents a broad spectrum of stakeholders.

Section 60 of the Electricity Act provides that any person may apply to the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board for a review of this amendment within 30 days of the publication of this Notice.

This amendment takes effect October 12, 2007.
