The market monitoring function, performed by NBSO’s Market Assessment Unit, evaluates the effectiveness of the market structure and its detailed design and also provides surveillance of compliance with the Transmission Tariff and Market Rules. The Market Assessment Unit is also required to investigate complaints regarding NBSO and transmitter conduct. The results of any such investigation are to be provided directly to the NBSO Board and a copy of the report is to be filed with the provincial regulator.
